Ravenswood ready for championship game: ; Team salves town's wounded pride; Ravenswood Highs Red Devils become rallying point after brutal year

RAVENSWOOD - They call it "that Wheeling feeling."

People are excited in Ravenswood. For the first time since 1976,the high school football team has a shot at winning the state AAchampionship, and the community is rallying in support.

From the moment you pull off Interstate 77 into "Red DevilCountry," the message is clear: "We love our 'Boys of Fall,' and welove our Red Devil football."

Tonight, the town's beloved Ravenswood High School Red Devilfootball team will take on the Magnolia Blue Eagles for the statetitle.
